Healthcare Field
When working in the healthcare field, remember that you are not a licensed physician yet. Know your responsibility and authority.

Among so many benefits, ISANS offers practical skills and resources needed to settle and grow new life here in Nova Scotia. ISANS has programs or services that can help in finding a job related to healthcare. It can help you understand the healthcare system and keep you in touch with your field.
There is now an online sign-up for Intake appointments on the ISANS website for new IMGs who are already in Nova Scotia.
IMGs interested in becoming a client at ISANS and accessing ISANS services can click on the “Complete Form” link under the “Get Started at ISANS” header on the top left-hand side of the ISANS Home page (see screenshot below). Once they click on the form, they will need to answer some basic questions and upload their immigration documents so that an Intake Appointment can be properly scheduled for them.
All ISANS prospective clients must sign up individually, that is, IMGs, their spouses and/or adult dependents must complete their own signup form. Once the forms have been completed and saved, the Intake PA will then follow-up and schedule an Intake appointment.
The personal information collected under the authority of the Nova Scotia Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act and the Employment Insurance Act of Canada will be used only for verification of service eligibility and administration of the applicable service.
IMGs without access to computers or with low computer skills can email Intake@isans.ca directly to request an intake appointment.
